Madison Food and Wine

Chef Rob is getting ready to compete in Dueling Chef's at the Madison Food and Wine Show. We had dinner at the Brasserie V (pork belly...mmmm) so I'm not really interested in the pizza samples...

Rob has water ready to boil but other than that, there is nothing to do but wait to find out the ingredients. (Turned out to be cheese.)

Chicago Two Days in a Row

Today we dragged our bikes down to Ian's house and went for a two-hour ride on the south side lakeshore. The bike path Long the lake is unbelievable! It goes on forever and the view is terrific. The south side is a really well-kept secret. The houses are great, plenty of trees and lawn, and, even parking!!




We had lunch at a great Mediterranean place in Hyde Park...and we even rode past the president's house.
